Pageant Shoot

This was a first for me.  I had a rather frantic call on Wednesday requesting photos for a 6 year old entrant to a pageant.  Two photos had to be submitted to the pageant organizers A.S.A.P.  After setting up the appointment and doing some quick research on the internet, I felt more confident.  The shoot had its challenges but the little subject was a star! Well done Aarti!

I spent a morning at the track with my son who was participating in the event and took my camera along.

Web site update

Our web site has just had a minor up-grade so please take a look.  We have also added a client survey form.  I we have done a shoot for you in the past please help us provide a better service by filling in our "Survey Form"

These two images were taken for the Ballito Photo Club assignment "Destruction in B&W"
The first image I wanted to create, was an image at the point of impact using continuous shooting mode.  This gave me the option of choosing the best of 6 images.  With the second image I wanted to show the whole action from beginning to end in one image, so I used an on camera flash and set it to strobe mode +/- 6Hz, this meant that I only had one chance at getting the image I wanted.  It took 3 setup shots before I did the final one below.

Some images from an interior shoot I did at the end of April 2013. This shoot was of a beautiful holiday home on the KZN North Coast, which I photographed a year ago and after redecorating, I was asked to do the same again. :-)

I did a lovely family shoot on the beach the other day.  Testing out my new Canon 5D MkIII it was a real pleasure to use. :-) see some pics below.

Still waiting on the interior shoot... so let's take a look at some of my latest wedding pics.  I really enjoyed this shoot and was quite excited when the bride decided to walk into a tidal pool which lead to some lovely images.
